How this works: The unique identifier is used here is similar to how Margit kept track of the paintings in her records. Typically YY-##. That is, the year produced and the number for that year. For example, the twelfth painting of 1967 would be 67-12. “E” stands for “early” (when no year was recorded). “X” stands for not recorded.
