Editor’s Note: This online version of Margit’s book differs from the physical book in the following ways:

• Table of contents — The actual book doesn’t have a TOC. Also, the titled sections (which we’ve chosen to call “chapters”) are not numbered in the book. We’ve included numbers with the titles to help in organization and navigation.
• Visuals — The actual book contains original line art (see The book’s artwork). We have replaced most of the drawings with relevant photographs from Margit’s life. Captions associated with the pictures are from the editor.
• Dates & locations — We have added time ranges and farm names to the places Margit lived in Part II. Margit may not have been concerned with passing along those fine details, but family members especially may want to be able to tie down events to more specific dates and locations.
• Map — Need an overview on where Margit lived? Check out our map.
