Welcome to my … blog?

Okay, so I’m making a website with a tool designed for blogging. No, I don’t expect that I will occasionally write something new about someone who died in the 1970s. That’s right, Margit Mindrum rarely makes the news these days. But who knows? I may want to update you about… something. After all, this website is very much a work in progress right now.

Anyway, while I have your attention, I could write about the limitations of this site. For example, the pictures here are NOT as good as the originals. Here are some caveats about image quality.

• Many images are pictures of pictures. That is, several generations removed from the original painting.
• Many of the original photos may show reflections from the painting’s glass, be angled strangely (maybe to avoid said reflection), or both.
• Where I have cropped to remove a painting’s frame, a sliver of the original painting may be lost.
• Some pictures may not show the original painting’s tone, as they may have been touched up to “look better”.

There, I feel better. Just know this site is just a family member’s tribute to an artist. It’s far from how a professional exhibit or museum would do it. So, hope you enjoy!
