Paintings Margit put a Bible verse on
<< | Paintings | >>
In addition to painting real and imagined church scenes, Margit hand-wrote bible verses (or snippets of them) on a number of paintings. These images often include mountains and sheep.
Note that some paintings are described with a Bible verse though she didn’t actual print that verse on the painting.

EXTRA WORDS
When Margit was X years old, she noticed her eyesight was getting worse. A quick exam by an eye doctor confirmed that her vision had deteriorated. Fearing that failing eyesight would jeopardize her painting, she quickly created a religious-themed picture for each of her six children. Fortunately a new prescription for heart medicine improved her blood flow and her vision stabilized and rebounded for her remaining years. But Margit had been made aware that her time was short. When she died in 1975, she left several canvases unfinished.
